Authenticity & provenance
Collectors buy with confidence when sellers are honest about what a piece is.
Describe it truthfully
- State clearly whether an item is original, a reproduction, restored, or a fantasy piece
- Note any damage, repairs, or missing parts — close-up photos build trust
- Share provenance (where it came from, prior owners, paperwork) when you have it
- Don't imply a grade, certification, or attribution you can't back up
Grading & certificates
If a coin, card, or comic is professionally graded, list the grader and the certificate number. If it isn't graded, say so — describe the condition in your own words instead of guessing a grade.
If something's wrong
Buyers who receive an item that's materially different from its description should report the lot. Sellers who misrepresent items lose selling privileges.
